How long have you been with the guy for? If it has been a while, then he might feel betrayed in a sense. Having another kid is hiding a huge part of who you are. You do not want him to get the wrong idea and feel like you have been lying to him about other things as well. If you just recently met him, then maybe you should try explaining the situation to him. Maybe mention that you were worried you would scare him away. Either way, if he is understandable, then you should definitely hang onto him.
