As the research comes in, it is becoming clearer and clearer that orientation is a matter of biology, not upbringing, experiences or mental illness. In other words - it is part of who you are. To try to live heterosexuality will only add to your pain and isolation, leading to depression and increasing the chance that you will engage in destructive behavior.
The best thing you could do is to see a qualified psychologist to help guide you through your feelings. If you are in a situation where you think you face retribution for being gay, do it quietly and allow them to guide you to resources to be sure you will be safe. I strongly urge that you refrain from seeking "repairative therapy" to turn you into a "straight" person. Study after study shows that they not only DO NOT work, but often cause psychological trauma. and to boot many of the counselors are closet homosexuals that engage in same sex activity on the side.
Do the research for yourself, seek safety, and do not let yourself be isolated. Hopefully in time you will see that being gay is not sinful or wrong and you may even find some gifts that come from being different.
