I think you are amazing for not giving up on her. And also, I think you should spent as many time with her as you can. Invite her to your house to see a movie, take her to a park, anywhere you think she can cheer up. She needs to feel loved. When she cries hug her and make her laugh. Its true, time heals, but you can make time goes on faster. Support her. Make her feel happy. Eat junk food with her, ice cream, popcorn, whatever that makes her feel a little better. Play board games with her. Make her smile, make her laugh. Try to not leave her alone, or at least not bored. When you are alone and with nothing to do, a million of sad stuff go through a girl's head. (Believe me I've been there). Hope this helps and good luck xx.
